1st Hands-on Training Workshop on Hydra Biology

We propose to organize a hands-on training workshop on Hydra Biology at ARI. Hydra is a simple diploblastic cnidarian which is a promising model for addressing novel questions to understand evolutionary mechanisms, regeneration and regulation of stemness. This workshop will be useful to both academicians and researchers. The participants will be provided theoretical background of hydra as a model system along with hands-on training in maintenance and observation of hydra, histological and cellular analysis of hydra and study of regeneration in hydra. A maximum of 20 applicants will be selected to participate in the workshop.
Workshop Duration: 5 days [4 th - 8 th July 2016]
Workshop Fee*: Rs. 2000/- + 300 (service tax @15%)
Who can apply: M.Sc. and Ph.D. students, Post Doc researchers, College and University teachers *Note: Workshop fee does not include lodging and boarding
