Positions are available for immediate selection of research assistant and trainees
The KIMS Foundation and Research Center (KFRC) is a brainchild of Dr. B. Bhaskar Rao, CEO & MD of KIMS (Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences) Hospitals, Secunderabad. KFRC was registered in 2010 as a non-profit and charitable trust. The main objectives are research, training and education. KFRC is recognized by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) under Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India to conduct research.
Job Title: Research assistant/Research trainee.
Essential Qualifications:
Candidate should have a minimum of 55% qualified mark in their M.Sc/M.Tech in Biotechnology/Molecular biology/Biochemistry/Genetics, etc., and passed out not more than two years.
Desirable Qualifications:
Candidate should have a minimum of 55% qualified mark in their B.Sc/B.Tech in Biotechnology/Molecular biology/Biochemistry/Genetics, etc., with 2-3 years of experience in respective areas.
Tenure of Training: 3 months. Training will be provided thrice a year.
Tenure of Project: 6-12 months.
Location: KIMS Foundation & Research Center, KIMS Hospital, Hyderabad.
On-going Projects:
Ø Secretome project: Isolation of MSC, differentiation, characterization, collection of secretome released and its analysis.
Ø Melanocyte transplantation: Isolation and culture of melanocytes for it therapeutic uses in vitiligo patients.
Ø Role of autologous bone marrow mononuclear cells in children affected with Cerebral Palsy: Protocol layout, isolation and culture of BM-MNC, differentiation and characterization of mononuclear cells using lineage specific markers.
Ø Umbilical cord serum supplement to FBS: Preparation of platelet rich plasma lysate from cord and adult blood, complement heat inactivation, estimation of protein and optimization as growth supplements.
Ø Bio/Tissue-banking: Collection and storage of primary tissues from health/patients, isolation and maintaining primary cell lines, extraction of proteins and RNA from relevant tissues for molecular basis of disease analysis. (Preparation of consent forms, SOP, manuals and maintaining records)
Ø Application of platelet rich plasma: Preparation of different types of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) based on PAW classification for its clinical use against various diseased conditions. (Preparation of consent forms, SOP, manuals and maintaining records)
Ø Molecular biology techniques: Primer designing, DNA isolation, PCR, Agarose gels and gel documentation, SDS‐PAGE, etc.
NOTE:
· All the selected candidates will have to provide assistance to the scientists and senior research associates in designing and executing day-to-day experiments, writing papers, presentation and data analysis.
· Candidates will not be charged for above mentioned training program.
· A certificate will be provided to the trainees at the end of the training.
· After a thorough performance observation for three months, stipend may be provided by the institute.
