Exhibition on ‘Innovations in Medical Science and Biotechnology’
Venue: Lawns of Rashtrapati Bhavan
Date: 9th March 2017
The challenges faced in ensuring accessible, affordable and appropriate healthcare to all are many as well as complex. Technology based solutions are required to meet the unmet needs. Success will depend on development of viable technological solutions by government and private institutions and Indian industry. Further, healthcare technologies developed across country need to be brought to the fore front to ensure their use for public health benefit.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is organizing a one day Exhibition during Festival of Innovations to be held on the lawns of Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi between 4th and 10th March 2017. The theme of the exhibition is "Innovations in Medical Science and Biotechnology."
Around Five Hundred technologies from various institutes (engineering colleges, universities, medical colleges, institutes and Government Departments, industry and individuals) were received. The technologies were screened by a Screening Committee and 45 technologies were shortlisted. The selected technologies are in the key health areas. The list is provided in Table 1.
