Qualification:
a) Completion of MSc or MTech in any life sciences branch after 2013; Bachelor's degree holders with 1 or 2 years of wet-lab experience can also apply.
b) Confidence in conducting experiments in molecular biology, basic microbiology and biochemistry on their own.
c) Good communication skills; a liking and confidence in teaching.
Main responsibilities: In consultation with, and guidance from, specific faculty members,
a) standardize new experiments
b) take up active role in one or more ongoing research projects at IBAB
c) make new plans, prepare, and assist in teaching laboratory skills and experiments to (mainly MSc) students
d) maintain laboratory equipment and consumables
e) take up any other related tasks as and when assigned
Remuneration: Rs. 25,000/- (or more - depending on the experience and capacities of the candidates)
Number of positions: two
Commitment required: minimum one year. Note: A 'one day' hands-on test may be conducted as part of the screening process.
