Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow in a DBT funded research program entitled "Analysis of polymicrobial biofilms in chronic wound infections and development of anti-biofilm therapeutic to promote wound healing" in the Cholera & Biofilm Research Lab of Tropical Disease Biology Program at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :

The candidate must have good academic record with first class Master's Degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS :

Research experience in Medical Microbiology/Molecular Biology technique is preferable.

AGE :

Below 28 years as on 13 th March, 2017.

FELLOWSHIP :

25,000 + 20% HRA per month for M.Sc. Degree holders who have qualified at NET/GATE (with valid certificate). M.Sc. degree holders who do not have NET/GATE certification will be eligible for 12,000/- + 20% HRA per month.

DURATION :

3 years or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier.

Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply and will be called for interview. In the event of more than 10 candidates being short-listed by screening the applications, a written test will be conducted before the selection interview and only those who are successful in the written test will be interviewed. No TA/ DA will be given for appearing in the interview.

Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.
