Introduction

MagGenome is primarily focused on the development of magnetic nano particles based products. The current initiatives include developing nucleic acid extraction kits using our patented magnetic nano particles-based technology. The company has developed several products like XpressDNA extraction kits, Immobilized Protein A,G, Glutathione and antibodies on magnetic nanoparticles. MagGenome will also focus on other applications of magnetic nano particles in near future for providing solutions in the areas of diagnostics, therapeutics and environmental remediation.

MagGenome invites applications for position of Research Associates: R&D (Position available: 1, Location: Cochin) and Research Associate-Production (Position available: 1, Location: Chennai) 

Job Location: Chennai and Cochin 

Job description: 

1) Research Associate (Production): No: of vacancies -1

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Large scale production and quality testing for the reagents and chemicals of the Xpress DNA and Xpress affinity kits and other related products.

Routinely performing molecular biology techniques such as Protein purification, DNA extraction PCR, Sequencing, and other more advanced methods in support of research projects.

Continuously contribute to the company’s intellectual property portfolio by routinely tracking and documenting results in laboratory/Production site in notebooks and databases.

Active part in Product Development and production related parameters. 

Analyze, summarize and present experimental results and quality testing parameters to the manager and other team members.

　　　　

Education and Experience 

BSc/Msc/B-Tech in life science preferred

Research Associate (R&D) : No: of vacancies -1

R&D executives are responsible for performing a wide variety of research laboratory tasks and experiments, making detailed observations, analyzing data, and interpreting results. He or she maintains laboratory equipment and inventory levels for laboratory supplies. He or she may also write reports, summaries, and protocols regarding experiments. A R&D executives also performs limited troubleshooting and calibration of instruments. 

An incumbent maintains familiarity with current scientific literature and contributes to the process of a project within his or her scientific discipline, as well as investigating, creating, and developing new methods and technologies for project advancement. He or she may also be responsible for identifying patentable inventions . He/She may also be asked to participate in scientific conferences 

and contribute to scientific journals.

Education and Experience Msc/B-Tech in life science preferred
