Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on
SERB, DST funded project entitled “Direct fermentation of cellulose and ligninases pretreated
cellulosic biomass by recombinant Clostridium strain for the production of
butanol-a superior alternative fuel” under the supervision of Dr. A.K.R.Gobinath,
Faculty of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, South Asian University.
Qualification: Students from the following background are encouraged to apply:
B.Tech./B.Engg. in Biotechnology/Industrial Biotechnology with GATE
qualification,
or
M.Tech./M.Engg. in Biotechnology/Biochemical Engg./Bioprocess Engg.,
or
M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Life Sciences with any one of the National Eligibility Test
(NET) qualification (such as CISR-UGC/DBT/ICMR).
Prior experience is expected in one/more of the following fields which include
microbial anaerobic fermentation, molecular cloning, protein expression and
purification.

The above mentioned
post is temporary and will be initially offered for a period of one year,
which can be extended to one more year.
