Job Description: Magnetic nanoparticles are significantly impacting the development of both therapeutic and diagnostic agents. At the intersection between diagnosis (by magnetic resonance imaging) and treatment, interest has grown in combining both paradigms into clinically effective formulations. This concept, recently coined as theranostics which involves development of the molecule-specific diagnostics tests and tendering them with target-based therapy. The current project involves the development of novel magnetic based nanoparticle systems with improved physiochemical properties to aid the future developments of efficient nanomedicines. 


Job Title: Project Assistant (Purely Temporary)

Project Title: “Design, Synthesis and Biomedical Applications of Novel Multifunctional Magnetic-based Theranostic Nanoparticles

Sponsoring Authority: DST-INSPIRE Faculty Scheme, Govt. of India

Fellowship: Rs. 16,000/- (consolidated or as per the DST Norms). 

Appointment will be given initially for a period of 3 months. It may be extended further depending upon performance.

Duration: 1 year, extendable up to two years based on performance.

Qualifications:
• Essential- First class M.Sc. in Physics/Bio-chemistry/Chemistry/M. Pharma
• Desirable- Prior experience on the synthesis and characterizations of nano-materials.

Age: 28 years or below as on the date of interview. However, there will be relaxation of age for reserved candidates as per Government rule.
