A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the Plant Genomics and Breeding lab at Seoul National University (SNU), South Korea. 

The Postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for QTL mapping, GWAS and marker assisted selection of important traits in Capsicum. Performing Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data processing and analysis effectively and in a timely manner. 

Publish results in peer-reviewed scientific journals and review scientific articles. 

This is a temporary, full-time position. The initial appointment is for one year, and is renewable depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funding.


-Ph.D in plant breeding and genetics or closely related fields.
-Demonstrated experience in QTL and association mapping studies.
-Evidence of recently published relevant peer-reviewed scientific papers (at least one) as a first or corresponding author.
-Experience in NGS, RNAseq data analysis, and discovery of molecular markers (single nucleotide polymorphisms) is preferred.
-Self-motivated and able to work independently and cooperatively with the research manager, students and collaborators.
