Applications are invited for the position of Project Research Scientist I Non Medical on contract basis to work in a time bound ICMR sponsored research project sanctioned to the undersigned at the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, Central University of Tamil Nadu Details of the position: 

Project Title: “Building a surveillance model for detecting zoonotic spillover in increased birdhuman interaction setting using the One Health approach: A study at selected bird sanctuaries and wetlands” 

Position: Project Research Scientist I 

Monthly Fellowship: Rs. 56000/month +10% HRA and 5% increment after two years, subject to performance review 

Tenure of Position: 1 year, extendable upon funds availability 

Essential Qualification: M.Sc./Integrated PG in Life Sciences, Medical Lab Technology (MLT), Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics 

Desirable: PhD in the relevant discipline is desirable, experience in, NGS, Clinical laboratory, Real time PCR, ELISA and any other relevant molecular biology work experience 

Age limit: As specified by the ICMR and as per rules of Govt. of India) Documents to be presented at the time of interview: 

1. Covering letter, detailed curriculum vitae 

2. Original and attested photocopies of all documents, certificates, degree and mark sheets 

3. Original and attested copy of CSIR NET/ICMR-JRF/DBT/ ASRB NET/UGC NET/TIFRJGEEBILS and other national level exams 

4. Copies of certificates/ testimonials/ documents which the candidate may wish to bring to the knowledge of the selection committee.
