About the Theme Topic

Molecular docking is an advanced computer-based simulation technique used to study receptor-ligand interactions at the atomistic level. It is widely adopted by life science and pharma science professionals to understand the mechanism of various biochemical reactions, protein-protein interactions, discovery of effective therapeutic molecules against various diseases, understanding molecular mechanism of antibiotic resistance in Microbes and to discover and/or design new drug molecules for life-threatening diseases. Due to its speed and high level of accuracy, it has become an indispensable tool for bioscience research.

In this workshop participants will learn about complete theoretical background of molecular docking, its applications and practical execution steps using the popular open source tool Autodock Vina during the hands-on sessions.
