NATIONAL BRAIN RESEARCH CENTRE (NBRC) invites application for the position of
“Research Scientist” under NBRC Core funds through Manpower contract agency - project entitled “
Investigation on cellular and physiological functions of neuroendocrine protein chromogranin B
”.

Essential Qualification MSc in life Sciences with first class
PhD in Life Sciences
Designation will be as per experience post PhD
Desirable experience Candidates with experience in physiology and cell biology with
additional skill set in cell culture, Primary cell line handling,
CRISPR, mice handling will be preferred. A first author paper is
desirable but not essential.
Fellowship 58,000 to 67,000 (consolidated based on experience)
Age limit Maximum 45 years (as on the last date of receipt of application)
Project Investigator Dr. Bhavani Shankar Sahu
Tenure The tenure will be for a period of one year extendable another 2
years based on performance review and validity of the project. The
post is co-terminus with the project.
Accommodation Accommodation may be provided as per rules of NBRC, subject to
availability.

1. No TA/DA will be payable to the candidates for attending the interview
