Research Areas:
Experimental Biophysics
Protein-DNA interaction and kinetics
structure and dynamics of biologically important molecules and more (visit website for faculty interests)
Qualification: M.Sc. in Physics / Physical Chemistry / Mathematics / Biophysics / Biochemistry/Bioinformatics or B.E/B.Tch in related disciplines with at least 55% marks (completed or appearing).
Eligibility for Interview: JEST / GATE score of 2008, NET qualification (JRF / LS) (score may be provided later if not available before the deadline).
Desired field of Study: The candidates are required to mention in the application which research area (department) he / she would like to be considered for admission. A list of research areas and the faculty interested in them can be found on the S N Bose Centre’s website.
Interview of Shortlisted Candidates: Dates 17 – 20 June, 2008 in Kolkata.
Monthly Stipend: As per CSIR (JRF) scale for first two years then upgraded to SRF scale on satisfactory performance.
