Project Assistant/JRF in Bioinformatics & Computational Biology
Qualification
M Sc in Biological Sciences/ Bioinformatics/MSc in Physics or Mathematics/ MCA/BE with strong motivation for research and independent thinking and attitude to evolve own research problems.
Keeping the fast pace and highly interdisciplinary nature of this field in mind a candidate with ability to work in pressure, learn quickly and deliver fast and continuously would be ideal.
Desirable:
Knowledge of Linux operating system, statistics and at least one programming language.
Candidates who have qualified national level tests for JRF would be given preference.
Condition:
The selected candidates will be taken as Project Assistants for the first year of their joining. Based on their performance their upgradation to the position of JRF or termination would be done. This review of performance will be done time to time.
