Applications are invited for the following positions in the Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) given below:

Position No.1: Scientist E-II Group IV(4) ( Life Science with Intellectual Property Management ) -1 post in the Pay band of Rs. 37,400-67,000(PB-4)+ GP Rs. 8700/- (Unreserved)

Essential Qualifications First Class M.Sc. in Life Sciences with ten years of experience in research, IP management or Ph.D with seven years of experience.

Desirable Qualifications Experience in working with plant systems, Reasonable know-how of Intellectual property, patenting and licensing, Experience in handling both collaborative and independent projects, Skill at writing projects and getting grants, Demonstrated ability to lead and/ be a part of team, Drive to be innovative and creative, apart from a strong scientific prowess that includes planning and execution of projects and troubleshooting

Job Requirements The selected candidate will be required to undertake the activities relating to IP management in medicinal and aromatic related technologies with handling of various kinds of projects including writing of the projects for seeking grants from the funding agencies. Candidate may be ready to work at CIMAP Headquarter, Lucknow or any of the CIMAP Resource Centres (Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pantnagar).

Scientist-B Group IV (1) (Project Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation); 1 post in the Pay band of Rs. 15,600-39,100(PB-3)+ GP Rs. 5400/- (Reserved for Hearing Handicapped (HH) Scheduled Tribe candidate)

Essential Qualifications First class M.Sc. Agriculture/ Plant Science or Ph.D. in one of these fields.

Desirable Qualifications Ph.D. as above or first class M.Sc. with (i) Govt. recognized degree/ diploma in computer application with working experience in MS computer tools like Office and Foxpro applications etc.(ii) Experience in project planning/ budgeting/ monitoring / costing preferably in a scientific organization

Job Requirements To assist Director/ Senior scientists in project planning, monitoring and evaluation (PME) activities through computer applications, to prepare plan documents and project reports, develop and maintain databases on various project information and economics of cultivation and handle S&T publications on medicinal and aromatic plants and preparation of Annual Report and News letter of the institute
