FACULTY RECRUITMENT NOTIFICATION | ANU/Advt. No. TS3/2009

Applications are invited for the post of Assistant Professor in the following Departments in the prescribed proforma in the scale of pay of Rs.8000-275-13500. The filled in applications should reach this office on or before by 5:00 PM on 15th October 2009.

Assistant Professors in Sciences:

Bio-Chemistry Two (OC BC-B Women)
Bio-Technology Two (OC-Women OC)
Food and Nutrition (Two BC-A OC- Women)
Microbiology Two (ST-Women OC-Women)

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR:
1. Good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent Grade ‘B’ in the 7 point scale with letter grades O & A to F at Master’s Degree level, in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent Degree from a foreign University. A relaxation of 5% i.e. from 55% to 50% of marks at the master’s levels for the SC/ST category shall be given as per GO. Ms.No. 208, dated 29-06- 1999.
2. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, NET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of lecturers in Universities / Colleges / Institutions. Provided, however that candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempt from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities / Colleges / Institutions”.
