Requirement for Post Doctoral Fellow – Gene Therapy
Applications are invited from interested candidates (1 Positions) for immediate requirement to work as Post Doctoral Fellow (applicants with PhD) under funded projects to develop gene therapy vectors for treatment of rare genetic disorders.
Duration: Initially for 3 years and can be extended. A minimum commitment of 3 years is necessary for these positions.
Qualifications: PhD in any branch of biology or biotechnology, but with experience working on mammalian systems, human disease biology, therapies, etc. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in molecular biology, gene construction/cloning, cell biology research is MANDATORY, experience in production and purification of viral vectors, experience with cGMP manufacturing will be preferred (experience in industry or academia are welcome).
Experience required: Candidates with experience in four or more of the following techniques is mandatory:
•Mammalian cell culture, transfection, aseptic techniques
•Plasmid production, bacterial culture, quality control
•Molecular biology techniques including cloning, PCR, QPCR, etc.
•Biochemistry techniques including protein isolation, immunoblotting, tissue staining techniques and microscopy.
•Chromatography techniques including IEX, affinity, experience with AKTA.
•Previous experience with viral vectors, cloning mammalian genes, bioreactor culture, animal handling and animal tissue experiments is preferred.
•Experience with cGMP processes
The role: The post holders will be primarily responsible to perform different vector production related techniques including cell culture, vector designing, plasmid production, chromatography (affinity and ion-exchange) based purification, quality control, detailed documentation, in vitro and in vivo experiments, bio-banking and participate in all the laboratory activities.
The post may require some travelling when required for experiments to be performed at core facilities.

• A team player with excellent communication skills, including the ability to write scientific text and present data

Qualifications: Master of Sciences in any branch of biology or biotechnology, but with experience working on mammalian systems, human disease biology, therapies, etc. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in molecular biology, gene construction/cloning, cell biology research is MANDATORY.

Requirement for Research Fellow – Cell Biology & Molecular Signaling
Applications are invited from interested candidates (3 Positions) for an immediate requirement to work as Research Fellows (applicants with Msc) under funded research projects investigating cellular mechanisms and molecular signaling pathways involved in human diseases and therapeutic development.
Qualifications: Master of Science in any branch of Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related discipline, with experience in mammalian cell systems, human disease biology, or molecular/cellular research. A minimum of 2 years of research experience in molecular biology, cell biology, and/or molecular signaling is MANDATORY.
Experience Required Candidates with experience in two or more of the following techniques are mandatory:
•Mammalian cell culture, transfection, aseptic techniques, and cell-based assays.
•Molecular biology techniques, including DNA/RNA isolation, cloning, PCR, qPCR, and gene expression analysis.
•Protein and biochemical techniques, including Western blotting, ELISA, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, tissue staining, microscopy, and imaging.
•Cellular signaling studies, including analysis of phosphorylation, transcriptional regulation, and protein–protein interactions.
•Flow cytometry and other cellular analysis techniques.
•Experience with primary cells, stem cells, organoids, or disease-relevant cellular models is preferred.
•Experience in animal handling and in vivo/ex vivo experiments is desirable.
The Role: The post holder will investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying human diseases, with emphasis on molecular signaling pathways and their regulation. Responsibilities will include mammalian cell culture, molecular and protein analysis, cellular assays, microscopy, data analysis, and in vitro/in vivo experimental studies. The role will also involve maintaining detailed experimental records, bio-banking, contributing to laboratory activities, and supporting manuscript and research proposal preparation. Occasional travel to core facilities or collaborating laboratories may be required for specialized experiments.
