Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one Senior Research
Fellow (SRF) in the DBT Multi-institutional project "Characterization of chickpea germplasm resource to accelerate
genomics-assisted crop improvement".
The details of the position are as follows.
Name of the Position: Senior Research Fellow (one Post):
Emoluments. 42000/- plus HRA per month.
Qualification:
Candidates should have Master’s degree or an equivalent in any branch of Life Sciences/ Microbiology/
Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology or any other related field with two years’ post-master’s degree,
experience of research in the relevant areas and having CSIR-UGC NET/GATE/DST-INSPIRE and fulfilling the
guidelines/norms of DST OM No: DST/PCPM/Z- 06/2022 dated June 26, 2023 are eligible to a apply.
Furthermore, candidates with experience in tissue culture and genome editing will be given preference.
The above position is completely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
The fellowship amount for the above
position is as per DST/DBT norms and as sanctioned in the project. The initial appointment for the above post
will be for one year or until the tenability of the project, whichever is earlier, and the tenure of the post may be
curtailed/extended based on the assessment of the candidate's performance and at the discretion of the Competent
Authority.
BRIC-NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the
qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be in accordance with the Government of
India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one month's notice by either side. The
applicants will have no claim, implicit or explicit, for consideration against any regular position of BRIC-NIPGR.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview.
