NIT Warangal JRF Openings on Metal Extraction/Microbiology

Greetings from the Department of Biotechnology, National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal)!

We are inviting applications for Two Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions under a research project sponsored by the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, titled:

“Nickel Recovery from Mine Tailings and Suspended Dust in and Around Mines”

Why consider this opportunity?

Interdisciplinary Research: Work at the interface of Biotechnology, Microbiology, Heavy Metal Recovery, Bioprocessing, and Artificial Intelligence.

Fellowship: ₹37,000/- per month for the first two years, with HRA as per institute rules.

Research at NIT Warangal: Gain hands-on research experience at an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Research Exposure: The work includes heavy metal analysis, field visits, microbial culture, biological reactor development, research article writing, and report preparation.

PhD Opportunity: The selected candidate will be eligible to apply for PhD registration at NIT Warangal, subject to the institute's rules and availability of PhD positions.

Eligibility

Candidates from Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Bioengineering and related disciplines are encouraged to apply, subject to the detailed eligibility criteria in the advertisement. 

Candidates qualified in GATE/CSIR-UGC-NET/DBT/ICMR NET will be given preference.

Candidates with exposure to heavy metal analysis, extraction, microbial techniques, and Artificial Intelligence are particularly encouraged to apply.
