Applications are invited for the following posts under Genetic HIV-1 Project.. These post are purely temporary and to be filled on year -to -year basis for the duration of the mentioned project. The project is a multicentric study investgate the role of host genetic factors in susceptibility to HIV infection and the progression of HIV disease. The project would involve collection of samples from various categories of HIV infected persons, performing assays for immune response, performing molecular biological techniques such as PCR, sequencing, genome analysis etc.

1. Research Scientist (RS - I) Non -Medical @ Rs.18,160/- pm

Essential Qualification (s) & Experience MSc Virology / Microbiology/ Molecular Biology / Biotechnology with 3 years experience in immunology or Molecular Biology

Desirable Qualifications / Experience PhD Virology / Microbiology/ Molecular Biology / Biotechnology / Life Science with experience in invitro / in vivo testing of drug and molecular biology or M.D. (Microbiology)

Job Requirement Standardization, plannining and monitoring of immunological and molecular biological techniques required for assessment of genes involved in HIV immunology
