One day course to demystify biotechnology and bioinformatics:

31st January 2010 (Sunday)

The course:

‘Shodhaka’, in association with IBAB, has arranged a carefully designed program to convey the essence of biotechnology and bioinformatics in 8 hours.

The course includes talks where jargon words are avoided and plenty of animations have been used to convey the gist of subjects. The sessions will be interactive and provide an excellent opportunity to obtain an overview of science of life and its current trends. Lectures cover most of the important concepts using simple language, illustrations etc. The program also intends to provide a clear picture of what is research (applied/basic) and how is it different from some of the industrial activities, in the biotech/bioinfo sector.

Participants: This course is intended for professionals who have not studied life science in detail or those who would like to refresh their memories following a gap. Students can also attend the program.

Participants should report by 9.15 am at the venue.

Fees (do not include travel, accommodation and food charges; these charges will have to borne separately by the participants):

Participants from industry/private company: Rs.2500/individual

For students, academic professionals and unemployed youth: Rs.1500/individual

Students and unemployed youth, who may have financial limitations are likely to get further discounts.
