Applications are invited for purely project based positions on temporary basis in project  based R&D activities of the North East Unit of the Institute. Candidates having appropriate qualifications in relevant subject/specialization with consistently good academic record with above 55% of mark in Master’s Degree and experience as given against each position may apply.

1. Junior Research Fellow (02)

Qualification Masters degree in Life Science/ Wildlife Biology/Zoology/Botany/ Ecology/ Environmental Sciences/Agricultural Science

Desirable Experience of research on avifauna, soil and water analyses and shifting agriculture

In-house project: “Shifting agriculture: issues and options with focus on adaptive interventions to make it ecologically, economically and socially viable“

2. Junior Research Fellow (01)

Qualification Master degree in Life Science/ Botany/ Ecology/ Environmental Science

Desirable Specialization in plant taxonomy of Eastern Himalaya

DST, New Delhi sponsored project: “Assessment of plant diversity and dependency in East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh”

3. Junior Research Fellow (01)

Qualification Masters degree in Life Science/Social Science/Environmental Science

Desirable Experience on extension activities and working with communities

GOI-UNDP Project : Biodiversity conservation through community based natural resource management in Arunachal Pradesh”

4. Senior Research Fellow (01)

Qualification Masters degree in Life Science/Social Science/Environmental Science with minimum two years of research experience

Desirable Experience on extension activities and working with communities

GOI-UNDP Project : Biodiversity conservation through community based natural resource management in Arunachal Pradesh”

Age Limit: Sr. No. 1,2&3: 28 years; Sr. No. 4: 32 years; Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women and Physically Handicapped as per Govt. of India norms.

Emoluments: Sr. No. 1,2&3: Rs. 12,000 + H.R.A.; Sr. No. 4: Rs. 14,000 + H.R.A. (HRA as per Institute norms)
