Applications are invited for the position of one full time Research Associate (RA) and one full time Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a period of 3 years in a DST-sponsored project entitled ‘Stress Proteomics and Functional Genomics of Abiotic Stress Response in Nitrogen-fixing Anabaena Strains Typical of Indian Soils’ undertaken by Dr S. K. Apte at the Molecular Biology Division of this institute.

Eligibility

Research Associate: PhD in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Molecular Biology /Biotech/Life Sciences with record of published work and experience in modern biology and bioinformatics.

Candidates with good academic record and experience in proteomics/r-DNA technology will be preferred.

Junior Research Fellow: First class M.Sc. degree in Microbiology/Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences with adequate knowledge of molecular biology and bioinformatics.

Candidates with good academic record and qualified for CSIR-NET/JRF will be preferred.
 

Fellowship: Rs 18,000 + HRA for RA and Rs 12,000 + HRA for JRF

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The selected candidate shall be required to work full time in the Molecular Biology Division, BARC, Mumbai.
