Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) research project “Marine Litter in the Coastal and Coral Reef Environment of Gulf of Mannar” initially for a period of one year extendable further based on performance as per details given below:

1. Junior Research Fellows: 2 Nos.
Emoluments: Rs.12,000/- pm for 1st & 2nd years and Rs.14,000/-pm for 3rd year + Rs.900 HRA as per institutional rules.
Place of Posting: Marine Field Research Centre at Pudumadam, in Ramnad District, Tamilnadu.
Essential Qualification(s): Minimum 55% marks in M.Sc., (Marine Biology or Biology or Zoology or Environmental Science) with National Entrance Test (NET) qualification or at least 2 years of marine filed research experience after M.Sc., or have an M.Phil., in the subject concerned.
Desirable Qualification(s): Preference will be given to candidate who will be a certified SCUBA Diver or Good knowledge in sea-swimming, snorkeling and skin diving with previous experience in marine related underwater survey works.
Candidates with strong aptitude for research will be encouraged to register for Ph.D. degree.
Nature of duties: Conducting marine underwater field monitoring works along the coastal waters between Rameswaram and Tuticorin, Gulf of Mannar.
