ICMR Increases JRF/SRF/RA Fellowships to Rs 16,000/18,000/23,000 from 1st April 2010

In continuation of the Council's order issued vide letter No. 16/71/2007 dated 23/3/2008 on the above mentioned subject, the revised rates of emoluments of the JRF/SRF and Research Associate under ICMR fellowship Programme & Extramural Research Projects/Schemes funded by ICMR will be as under with effect from 1-4-2010

JRF
(i) 1st and 2nd Year - Rs 16,000/- pm
(ii) Subsequent Years - Rs 18,000/- pm
SRF (Non-Medical)
(i) 1st and 2nd Year - Rs 18,000/- pm
(ii) Subsequent Years - Rs 20,000/- pm
SRF (Medical & Dental)
(iii) 1st and thereafter - Rs 20,000/- pm
Research Associates
Research Associates will be received fixed emoluments as under-
a. Rs. 23,000/- pm
b. Rs. 24,000/- pm

    This is regarding hike in JRF and SRF Fellowships.I havent cleared NET and currently working as JRF in a Research Laboratory in a DBT funded project. I wanted to know, if I am eligible for the hiked fellowship.
