ADVERTISMENT NO. 9/2010

The Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), a constituent establishment of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India, wishes to recruit Project Assistants Level-II and III on temporary basis to work in various sponsored/networked /NMITLI Projects in this Institute as per details given below.  

1. Research Associate (02 positions)

Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in any branch of Life Sciences.

Desirable: Practical research experience in the areas of yeast molecular biology/genetics

2. Project Assistant Level-III (04 Positions)

Essential Qualification: 1^st Class M.Sc in any area of Life Sciences/Bio-technology, Chemistry , yeast molecular biology/genetics with minimum of 2 years practical research experience in the related areas.

3. Project Assistant Level-II (05 Positions)

Essential Qualification: MSc (first class) in the area of Environmental Sciences/ Life Science/ Chemistry/ Bio-Chemistry/Bio-Physics/Bio-Technology/Molecular Biology & Microbiology.

Desirable:Practical research experience in the areas mentioned above.

4. Project Assistant Level-I (02 Positions)

Essential Qualification for Position No. 1: 1^st Class B.Sc (with Medical Subjects)/ Ist Class three years Diploma in Computers Science  For Position No.  2: Three Years Diploma in Modern Office Practices in Ist Div.  OR BCA with good knowledge of Computer Applications & operation.

Stipend:

For Level – I - Rs. 7,000/- (fixed) per month

For Level – II - Rs.10,000/- (fixed) & for NMITLI

projects Rs. 12,000/- per  month

For Level – III -  Rs. 12,000/- (fixed) per month

For Res. Associate - Rs. 16,000/-(fixed) per month plus HRA

Age limit : For Level –I &  II -  28 Years as on 21.06.2010

For Level-III - 30 years as on  21.06.2010

For Research Associate - 35 Years as on 21.06.2010

Relaxation in case of SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped/Woman (for RA only) will be as per GOI Rules).

The engagement in the projects is purely on temporary basis maximum for the period of duration of the project.  However, appointment will initially be offered for a period of one year and will be extended yearly basis till the duration of the project depending on the satisfactory performance of the incumbent.  The appointment can be terminated by either side by giving one month’s notice.  Total duration of project assistantship in CSIR Laboratories is maximum of 5 years.  Therefore, if an incumbent switches between the projects, the appointment will terminate on the day he/she completes 05 years as a Project Assistant.  Please note that it is not an IMTECH/CSIR appointment and will not confer any right of the incumbent to any claim implicit or explicit or any position. Number of positions may vary.

(Sharp) in the Seminar Hall of this Institute along with complete bio-data affixed with latest passport size photograph duly signed and also enclosing photocopies of certificates/testimonials in support of date of birth, qualification/ experience etc. Original Certificate are  required to be provided for verification. No TA will be paid for attending the interview.

Note: Result awaited/Thesis Submitted candidates are not eligible for interview.
