DBT Postdoctoral Fellowships in Biology & Biotechnology
Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the award of "DBT-Postdoctoral fellowship" (5 Nos and like to change) for pursuing research in frontier areas of Biotechnology and applied Biology The fellowship is tenable at UoH-DBT Centre for Education and Research in Biology and Biotechnology. (CREBB) School of Life Sciences University of Hyderabad Hyderabad 500046.
ELIGIBILITY:
The applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in Science, or M D or M.S. in any area of medicine with research interests in Biology and Biotechnology and possess a good academic record.Persons with publications till reputed scientific Journals will be given preference . Those who have already submitted thesis Ph.D/M D/M.S may also apply. The applicants should preferably be below the age of 40 years and 45 years in case of women candidates, Persons al ready employed should apply through their employers.
DETAILS OF THE AWARD:
The Postdoctoral Fellowship is a purely temporary assignment and is tenable for a period of 2 years, In exceptional cases. depending upon the progress of the research.The fellowship may be extended, subject to availability of grant. Selected fellows Will be paid Rs.15000 per month (except those who are not yet awarded Ph.D degree)The fellows would also be entitled to HRA as per The DBT guidelines. The fellowship is likely to be revised after getting the approval of DBT.
DUTIES & COMMITMENT:
Candidates selected for the award are required to stay with the center for a minimum period of one year. failing which they may be required to refund the fellowship amount. The selected candidates are expected to participate in the academic activities of the center besides conducting research under the guidance of a faculty member.
MODE OF SELECTION & APPLICATION:
The candidates will be selected based on their C.V., publication record and performance in the interview. The interview will be held at the office of the Dean.School of Life Sciences University of Hyderabad. Hyderabad -500046. India. No reimbursement will be made towards their travel allowance .If the candidate accepts the fellowship, he/she must join the University within a month's time . Candidates may submit their applicati0n on a plane paper along with bio-data. list of publications (attach reprints of 2 important papers). copies of certificates (B.Sc./MSc Ph.D/M D/M.S. ) one page synopsis of their thesis. 2 letters of recommendation (academic). The applicant is advised to propose a research project, compatible with the on-going research in School of Life Sciences availing the fellowship.
