PhD and Postdoc position in Computational Chemical Biology/Bioinformatics

One PhD and one postdoctoral position are available at the Computer-Aided Drug Design and Protein Modelling group of the Technical University of Munich. The positions are funded by the center of excellence “Center for Integrated Protein Science Munich“(CIPSM). Research topics are available in three areas:

1. Development of new sampling techniques for protein and drug design.
2. Scoring function design and optimization.
3. Structural Immunoinformatics.

The group is an integral part of the center of excellence “Center for Integrated Protein Science Munich“ (CIPSM) and is located at the Life Science Campus of the Technical University, offering an excellent environment for innovative and collaborative research across disciplines. The Technical University of Munich is a major research university and one of nine universities in Germany, which were awarded the excellence label for their future research concepts.

Successful applicants should have a strong background in either bioinformatics or computational chemistry or physics. Experience in the structural modeling of biological or chemical systems would be advantageous. Candidates are expected to engage in interdisciplinary research and to foster collaborations with experimental groups from  (bio)chemistry, biology, and medicine.
