DBT Funded project on “Programme on Strengthening and up gradation of Biotechnology Teaching, Training (on Molecular Biology and Genomics/Bioinformatics) and Research (Fish DNA Barcoding and Genetic diversity) in the Department of Biotechnology of Assam University in the North East” at the Department of Biotechnology, Assam University (www.assamuniversity.nic.in)

A walk-in-interview has been arranged on 28th Sept., 2010 for the under-mentioned posts on the above mentioned project with Prof. S K Ghosh, AUS as Principal Investigator. 

1. Research Associate (01 post) : 

 PhD/Thesis submitted/going to submit in Biotechnology/ Life Science / Molecular biology/Zoology/ Bioinformatics and MD/MVSc in related subjects with good academic records and publication, laboratory skills on Molecular biology/ Bioinformatics will be given advantage.

Stipend Rs. 15,000/- fixed

2. Project Assistant (01 post) :  

MSc. in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Life Science with good academic record and laboratory skills on Molecular biology/Bioinformatics will be given advantage.

Stipend Rs. 10,000/- fixed

Venue: Dept. of Biotechnology, Assam University, Silchar

Time: 11 am, 28th September, 2010

Relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC/Minorities/women candidates as per Govt. rules.

Project Duration: About 05 years.

No TA/DA will be paid for their appearing in the interview.
