Walk-in-interview for RA/Project Assistant:

Applications are invited on plain paper for the following purely temporary posts under an extramural ICMR Projects:

1. “Web-based online manuscript editorial processing and production of articles of the Indian Journal of Medical Research(IJMR)”

2. Creating an effective supporting system for the collection, compilation and dissemination of IP-related information in the area of health with special reference to disease of the poor”

Project 1 :

Research Associate (1)

Qualifications:

Essential : Ph.D with three years post doctoral research experience in any field of Life Sciences/ Biological Sciences.

Desirable : (i) Knowledge of IT and computers.

Age : Up to 40 years (relaxation as per Govt. of India rules)

Salary : Rs. 23,000 per month (consolidated) plus HRA as per rules

Project 2:

Research Assistant (Non-Medical) – (1)

Consolidated salary: Rs 19,481/- per month

Qualification:

Essential: Master’s degree in Life Science with at least 2 years experience in research and/or IPR related work.

Desirable:

I. 2 Years experience in handling the data on biological patents

II. Knowledge of using of patent data bases

Age: Up to 35 year (relaxation as per Govt. of India rules)

The selected candidates shall work in the Intellectual Property Rights Unit of the ICMR.

The candidates for Research Associate/Research Assistant posts fulfilling essential and desirable qualifications and experience are requested to attend the Walk-in interview at the ICMR Headquarters, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi, on September 16, 2010 at 9:30 am.

The candidates are requested to bring an application with a recent passport size photograph duly affixed on it, original certificates, and attested photocopies of relevant certificates. Also bring five photo copies of their Curriculum Vitae and all other certificates/ testimonials and original and report to A.O. (P&I) (Room No. 206) at 9.00 A.M.

The posts are purely temporary till the duration of the project. The appointment is terminable with one month notice from either side. The selected candidate will have no claim for regular appointment under ICMR. Benefits of Provident Fund, CCA, Leave Travel Concession, Medical claim etc. are not admissible.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending interview
