Sub: Recruitment to one post of Scientist `H’ in the Department of Biotechnology on deputation basis.
The Department of Biotechnology urgently requires services of suitable officers for filling up of one post of Scientist `H’, a senior Group `A’ Gazetted post in the HAG scale of `67,000-79000/-, on deputation basis. The eligibility conditions for the post are as under:-
Officers of the Central Government, State Government, Universities, Public Sector Undertakings and Government Funded Research Organization or Institutions:
(a) Holding analogous post on regular basis Or
Having at least five years’ regular service in the immediate lower post i.e. posts in PB-4 the scale of `37,400-67,000/- plus grade pay of `10,000/-
and
(b) Qualification & Experience:
(i) Essential: - Possessing Ph.D degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University.
(ii) Minimum 20 years’ experience in responsible positions of work in R&D/Management & Administration/Planning/Industrial/Academic Institutions and/or Science & Technology Organizations with a broad perspective of the potential of Biotechnology.
2.The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/Department of the Central Govt. shall ordinarily be three years which may be extended further with the approval of the competent authority. The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation shall not be exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
3.The pay of the officer selected to the post/will be regulated in accordance with the Department of Personnel & Training’s O.M. N o.6/8/2009-Estt.(Pay.II) dated 17th June 2010, as amended from time to time.
4.The application in the prescribed proforma alongwith attested copies of last five years ACRs(now APARs), Vigilance Clearance, Integrity Certificate, Details of minor/major penalties imposed during last ten years, if any, and the service particulars of the officers who could be spared in the event of their selection, may be sent to Smt. Beena E.Chakravarty, Under Secretary, Establishment Section, Department of Biotechnology, Block–2, 8th Floor, CGO Complex, Lodi Road, New Delhi–110 003 within 60 days of the publication of this advertisement in the Employment News. The prescribed time for receipt of applications from candidates residing abroad and from Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands, States/Union Territories in the North Eastern region. Ladakh Division of J&K, Sikkim, Panaji, Sub-Divisions of Chambs, Lahaul and spiti districts of Himachal Pradesh will be 75 days.
