Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

DBT Project Regulation of genes involved in iron metabolism by small RNA (sRNA) in Burkholderia cepacia complex

Tenure: 3 years

Qualifications: M.Sc. in any discipline in Life sciences with a minimum of 60% of marks and the candidates must have qualified NET/GATE.

Emoluments:

For NET (CSIR/UGC) candidates: Rs. 16,000 per month for first 2 years (JRF) and Rs. 18,000 per month thereafter on successful promotion to SRF.

For NET-LS and GATE qualified candidates: Rs. 12,000 per month for first 2 years (JRF) and Rs. 14,000 per month thereafter on successful promotion to SRF.

The fellow will not be entitled to any DA/CCA/LTC etc. However, House Rent allowance and the medical benefits will be as per University of Calcutta rules.

Age limit: Upper age limit is 28 years on 01/10/2010, relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH/women.

No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the interview.
