Research Associate
ICRISAT seeks applications from Indian nationals for the post of Research Associate to be based at Patancheru, Andhra Pradesh, India, for the special projects funded by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. This is a nationally recruited position.
Responsibilities: Maintain pearl millet downy mildew pathogen isolates and to phenotype mapping populations for downy mildew reaction for QTL mapping. The incumbent should have active association and participation in writing project reports and research articles and to perform other related tasks from time to time.
Requirements: Ph D in Plant Pathology/Plant Biotechnology/Life Sciences with the knowledge and expertise indicated under responsibilities. The candidate must be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken) and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
General: The position is for three years, renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the Institute's continuing need for the position. An attractive compensation is offered for the right candidate.
