Minimum Qualifications: First class M.Sc. degree in any discipline of Life Science or Organic Chemistry from a recognized University/Institute. Preference will be given to those who have cleared NET(CSIR/UGC)/NET(LS)/ICMR.
Research Experience:
Post 1: Candidate should have at least 6-months experience in protein expression and purification techniques including handling of FPLC. Experience in cloning is an added bonus. Candidates with experience in peptide synthesis and handling of HPLC will also be considered.
Post 2: Candidate should be well-versed in computational analyses of protein databases and must have at least 6-months experience in work related to protein structure prediction, compilation and evaluation of large datasets as well as ligand docking studies. Must be conversant in Perl/C++/Java programming.
Age Limit: Applicant should not have completed 28 years of age as on Dec 31, 2010.
Salary: Rs. 12,000/- p.m. (consolidated) + HRA (as applicable). JRF-qualified students may receive higher emoluments.
Duration: One year (Extendable to up to three years, subject to satisfactory performance).
