Eligible and interested candidates are invited for the interview for the purely temporary positions in the following Fields/Areas under various sponsored projects tenable at NBRI:-


Area I: Environmental Biochemistry and Biotechnology

JRF 
Essential Qualifications Ist class M.Sc. in Botany /Biochemistry /Biotechnology / Environmental Science with CSIR -UGC NET /LS Qualifications. 
Desirable Experience in handling of sophisticated instruments involved in Biochemistry/Environmental Science/Molecular tools
Area II: Phytochemistry

Project Assistant III 
Essential Qualifications  Ist Class M.Sc in Chemistry (Organic/ Phyto) /Biochemistry with two years research experience.
Desirable Research /training/project experience in phytochemistry and knowledge of different techniques in natural product chemistry/phytochemistry.
Project Assistant II 
Essential Qualifications Ist Class M.Sc in Chemistry (Organic /Phyto) /Biochemistry 
Desirable As above in Project Assistant III
Area III: Genetic transformation

Project Assistant II 
Essential Qualifications 1st class M.Sc in Botany/Biotechnology 
Desirable Experience/training in Plant tissue culture, Plant transformation and Plant Molecular biology.
Area IV: Pharmacognosy/Pharmacology

Project Assistant Level-III(ICAR RA) 
Essential Qualifications Ist Class M.Sc in Botany with two years research experience.
Desirable Qualification Collection of medicinal plants.
Stipend
For JRF:Rs.12000/-p.m + HRA./Rs.16000/-p.m. + HRA
For Project Assistant Level II : Rs.12000/-p.m./Rs. 10000/-p.m./Rs.8000/-p.m. (Consolidated)
For Project Assistant Level III : Rs.17000/-p.m./Rs. 14000/-p.m. (Consolidated)

For Area I on 21-01-2011, for Area II on 24-01-2011, for Area III on 25.01.2011 and Area IV 27-01-2011 at 11:00 AM in the Conference Room, (Genetic Block) NBRI, Lucknow. 


TERMS & CONDITIONS:

Mode of Selection: Through Interview. However, if large numbers of candidates turn up, a Screening test comprising of multiple choice objective questions will be held for short listing the candidates for interview. The short listed candidates will be interviewed by the Selection Committee and, based on the performance in the interview; a panel of recommended candidates will be formed. The panel shall be utilized as and when the requirement arises in the projects in the relevant field/area. Candidates have the option to interact in Hindi/English before the committee.
