Associate Professor :Rs. 15600-39100+AGP Rs. 8000/-
Assistant Professor :Rs. 15600-39100+AGP Rs. 6000/-
Assistant Professor :Rs. 15600-39100+AGP Rs. 6000/-
In addition to pay D.A. HRA, CLA will be paid according to the University rules.
Teachers of the University are permitted to take up outside work according to the University rules. Other conditions may vary depending upon the guidelines from the Government of Maharashtra.
The minimum qualifications prescribed for the posts are as under :-
Associate Professor :
Good academic record with a doctoral degree or equivalent published work. In addition to these, candidates who join from outside the University system, shall also possess at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E, & F at the Master’s degree level. Five years of teaching experience and/or research excluding the period spent for obtaining the research degrees and has made some mark in the areas of scholarship as evidenced by quality of publications, contribution to educational innovation, design of new courses and curricula.
The Post/s reserved for SC/ST/DT-NT/OBC will be filled in by the candidate/s Domicile of State of Maharashtra belonging to that particular category only. If no candidate/s from the reserved category is/are available or found suitable, the candidates from the any other reserved category will be considered for adhoc appointment for one academic year only on temporary basis subject to the prior approval of the Government as mentioned in G.R. No. BCC-1094/CR- 57/94/16-B, dated 5th December, 1994 and such candidate/s if selected will not claim his right for the same as per the rules. The posts will be filled on tenure basis and in the prescribed scale and same will be discontinued after the closer on the XIth Plan period i.e. 31st March, 2012.
Twelve copies of the application in the prescribed form, together with attested copies of certificates alongwith a crossed Demand Draft on a Nationalised Bank for the amount of Rs.200/- in the case of candidates belonging to General category and Rs.100/- in the case candidates belonging to SC/ST drawn in favour of the Finance and Accounts Officer, University of Mumbai, should be sent in an envelope superscribed with “Application for the post of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor (Sr. No. ) so as to reach the I/c. Registrar, University of Mumbai, Teaching Appointments Unit, Room No. 113, First floor, Mumbai – 400 032, within 30 days from the date of publication of this advertisement (Advertisement Date 22nd December, 2010.). Candidate’s who are already employed shall send their applications through proper channel. Applications received after last date will not be considered. The University shall not be responsible for any postal delay. Incomplete applications and applications on plain paper will not be considered. Canvassing direct or indirect will be a disqualification.
