Research Fellow Posts
Applications are invited for two posts of Research Fellows at Aaranyak, a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization and also a society for biodiversity conservation of North East India. These posts present a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience and knowledge on key issues for freshwater ecosystem conservation as well as the possibility of pursuing Ph.D. study during the course of the project.
Qualification: M.Sc. in Zoology/Life Sciences/Wildlife Biology with 1st Class and specialization/experience in fish and fishery/aquatic ecology/wildlife biology. Experience in freshwater ecology along with peer-reviewed publication will be preferred.
Duration: 2011–2013.
Salary: Rs 12,000 per month + field allowances.
Closing date for applications submission: 15 days after publishing the advertisement(Advertisement Date 10 FEBRUARY 2011).
Note: Interview will be held at Guwahati, Assam. Only short-listed candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates for attending the interview. The selected candidates will be working in riverine habitats of Assam.
