WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
Eligible candidates are invited to attend the walk-in-interview on 25th March, 2011 between 9.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. for the temporary posts of RAs/SRFs/Tech.Help/HSTP to work under the research projects sanctioned to Directorate of Rice Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.
IV. ICAR network project on “Transgenic in Crops (Functional Genomics Component)-Iron and Zinc.
Duration: 1 year & extendable further
1.Research Associate(1 post)
Essential Qualifications (EQ):Ph.D/(M.Sc + 3 years research experience) in Plant Sciences/Genetics & Plant Breeding/Biotechnology.
Desirable Qualifications: NET qualified, publications in reputed journals, experience in use of molecular markers, QTL analysis, bioinformatics, field work experience, interest in physiology and biochemistry.
Emoluments: Consolidated pay of 24,000/- p.m. plus HRA for Ph.D and 23,000/-p.m. plus HRA for M.Sc. + 3 years experience
V. DBT network project on “Functional genomics of rice phase-II, sub-project 1A – yield -Fine mapping of yield enhancing QTLs from wild rice”
Duration: 1 year & extendable further

Essential Qualifications (EQ):Ph.D. or M.Sc (any branch of Life Sciences) with three years of research experience as evidenced by research publications
Desirable Qualifications: Research experience in insect-plant interactions, Marker Assisted Selection, gene expression profiling, bioinformatics.
Emoluments: Consolidated pay of 24,000/- p.m. plus HRA for Ph.D and 23,000/-p.m. plus HRA for M.Sc. + 3 years experience
VII. DBTs FGR Ph-II “High resolution mapping… rice tungro virus resistance genes” Duration 1 year & extendable further

Essential Qualifications (EQ): M.Sc.(Botany, Biotechnology, Plant Sciences) or M.Sc.(Ag) degree Science with specialization in Plant Breeding/Genetics/Biotechnology/Plant Molecular Biology/Plant sciences/Botany. Desirable Qualifications: Familiarity with rice crop and microsatellites.
Emoluments: Consolidated pay of 8,000/- p.m.(fixed).

Essential Qualifications (EQ):B .Sc (Ag)/B.Sc Bio Science (Plant Bio-Science) from a recognized University. Emoluments: Consolidated pay of 8,000/- p.m. (fixed).

Essential Qualifications (EQ): B.Sc (Botany, Zoology or Chemistry) or Diploma in Agriculture.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in field screening of rice diseases.
Emoluments: Consolidated pay of 8,000/- p.m. (fixed).

1.Highly Skilled Technical Person (2 posts)
Essential Qualifications (EQ): B.Sc.(Botany, Zoology & Chemistry), degree of Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized University. Desirable: Knowledge of computer applications and proficiency MS office and typing.
