Introduction : Within a biologist's toolkit, animal cell culture has come to playa prominent role. In the pharmaceutical industry, cell culture is used to produce a significant proportion of biopharmaceuticals as well as monoclonal antibodies for diagnostic use. In addition, the use of animal cells is expanding in a wide range of other applications such as drug screening, tissue engineering, gene therapy, toxicology and traditional applications such as virology.
Objectives
To introduce the applications of animal cell culture in scientific fields.
To promote proper techniques and skills in cell culture practice.
To expose participants to essential animal cell culture techniques.

For Academics : Rs. 8,000/-'
Fee includes tuition, workshop material, lunch and tea/coffee.
It does not include dinner and accommodation. Cancellations will not be accepted less than 15 days prior to the start of the workshop, but substitutions may be made at any time. Registration over telephone / e-mail will not be accepted without receipt of fees. Participants are advised to make their own travel and stay arrangements.
