The course: Molecular Biology is on the fast expanding frontiers of Biological Sciences. It is a rich multi-disciplinary science combining Cell Biology. Biochemistry. Immunology, Molecular Genetics. Biochemical techniques. Research Methodology, Computer application etc, along with combination of Genomics and Bio-informatics which contributes to the understanding of the molecular mechanism of life_Insights. experimental approaches, project orientation and exposure in various scientific institutes help students to receive all round education in this subject This course will also enable to the students to exploit exciting aspects of Biological Science. This is a course under the partially self financing scheme of the University of Mysore. This course is being offered since 2005-06. PresenUy6th batch of students are pursuing their M.Sc. Facutty: Staff ofYuvaraja's college and experts from reputed institutes are the members. Special lectures, seminars and workshops are arranged to provide knowledgeofihe cutting-edge progress in the field.
The opportun ities: M.Sc. degree holders of this course are ready to take up assignments and research in premier research institutions of India and abroad. They will also have job opportunity in Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology and other Biology related industries.
Eligibility: Students from India and abroad with +2/PUC or equivalent in Science stream with atleast 45% marks in aggregale (excluding languages) and atleast45% marks in Biology. This is relaxable by 5% 10 SCIST candidates_ They should not exceed 20 years of age as on the date of application

Mysore - 570005, Kamataka after 3rd Week of May. Application form can also be obtained through post by sending demand draft for Rs. 200/- plus Rs. 80 towards postal charges. Filled in applications accompanied by crossed DO for Rs. 200/- favoring The Principal. Yuvaraja's College and payable at Mysore with relevant copies of the proof of age, caste. income and marks scored in the qualifying examination. are to be sent to The Principal / Course coordinator.
