The Agri Biotech Foundation
Needs Subject Experts in the areas of Plant Biotechnology and Social Sciences
The Agri Biotech Foundation is an autonomous, non-profit academic institute engaged in the promotion of agri biotechnologies through Research, Training and Extension. The Foundation is expanding its activities from the support it has been receiving from the Government of Andhra Pradesh under Rashtria Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY), National Horticultural Mission, NABARD, European Commission etc. It is implementing a number of projects like pest resistance in cotton (Narasimha), submergence tolerance in sesame, yellow mosaic virus resistance in black gram, developing drought tolerant rice and sorghum etc. Molecular biology based techniques will be used in this research work. The Foundation is also entrusted with the responsibility of popularizing bio fertilizers, vermi compost, biopesticides, animal feed, mushroom technology ,tissue culture (banana, teak) technology etc through its bioresource centers in Hyderabad and Nalgonda district. It is also engaged in the popularization of quality seed by involving farmers, NGOs , Agricultural University and ICAR institutes. It has also lined up a number of training and refresher courses for Human Resource Development and public awareness creation. In order to meet these growing needs, the Foundation is looking for competent and committed faculty.
