"Walk-in-Interview" is to be held on Saturday the 18th June, 2011 at 9:00 A.M. at this Institute for engagement of Project Assistant Level-II under the following projects on purely temporary basis (co-terminus with the projects):
i) "Bioresource inventorization with a focus on bioprospecting of Pteridophytes of Western Himalaya" (GAP-0126)
(ii) "Utilization of locally available plant raw material for fetching high prices (RSP-0022).
(iii) "Preparation and phytochemical characterization of extracts from berries of Hippohae rhamnoides (Seabuckthorn) for onward evaluation of radioprotective efficacy"(GAP0141).
(iv) "Chemical characterization of hippophae germplasm and co-ordination of hippophae
network program & establishment of germplasm resource centre"(GAP-0120).
(ii) "Utilization of locally available plant raw material for fetching high prices (RSP-0022).

1. Project Assistant Level-II (Rs.12,000/-P.M.) : Approx. 15 Positions.
Educational Qualifications: 1stCIass M.Sc. in Agriculture/Agronomy/ Biochemistry/ Organic Chemistry/Chemistry/Pharmaceutical /Plant Biotech/ Biotech/Life Science /Plant Science/Botany (with knowledge of pteridophytes)/ Molecular Biology/Ecology/Forestry/ Environmental Sciences with ecology as one of the sUbjects OR M.Sc.(Tech.) Environmental Sciences and Technology with ecology as one of the subjects.
Age: 28 Years as on 18.06.2011.
Date & Time of Walk-in-Interview : Saturday the 18th June, 2011 at 9:00 A.M.,Place: IHBT, Palampur (HP).
(Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST,3 years for OBC and widows. divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not remarried are allowed age concession up to the age of 35 years. (Up to 40 years for members of SC/STs)-no other women entitled for such relaxation.
Eligible candidates may appear for "Walk-in-interview" on the date, time and place mentioned above. Candidates appearing for "Walk-in-Interview" have to submit an application on the prescribed performa available at the IHBT, website along with attested photocopies of testimonials at the time of interview. The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the projects. Candidates must also bring with them original certificates at the time of the appearing for interview failing which he/she will not be allowed to appear for interview.
No TA will be paid for attending the interview.
