WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

The eligible and desirous candidates fulfilling all the requirements are invited to appear before the Selection Committee for interview at V.P.K.A.S. (ICAR), Almora on  21.06.2011  at  10.00 AM .

1. National Agriculture Innovation Project – SRLS.

Research Associate (3 posts)

Educational Qualification: M. Sc. (Ag.) in Horticulture/ Plant Protection/ Agronomy/ Soil Science/ Post Harvest Eng./   Plant Breeding and Genetics/ Extension Education and other related subjects.

Experience : Experience in extension, research and development in hill agriculture.

Emoluments :

` 23,000/- + HRA per month for Master Degree.

` 24,000/- + HRA per month for Ph.D. holders.

Location : Project sites at Champawat/ Dharonj/ Mudiany or any other sites of the project.

Age : The upper age limit is 40 years for men and 45 years for women on the date of interview (relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBC as per GOI/ICAR norms)

2. NAIP funded project “Bioprospecting of genes and allele mining for abiotic stress tolerance (Rice and Maize)”.

Senior Research Fellow (2 Posts)

Educational Qualification : M.Sc./M.Sc. (Ag) in Biotechnology/ Plant Breeding with experience in plant molecular biology.

Desirable Qualification : Experience and knowledge of molecular biology techniques used in allele mining transformation and cloning in plants.

Emoluments : ` 16,000/- + HRA per month

Age : The upper age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women on the date of interview (relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBC as per GOI/ICAR norms)

3. DBT funded Project “Pyramiding multiple resistance genes using MAS for durable resistance against blast in the North West Himalayas”.  

Junior Research Fellow (1 Post)

Educational Qualifications: M.Sc./M.Sc. (Ag) in Biotechnology/ Plant Breeding with experience in plant molecular biology.

Desirable Qualification:

Experience and knowledge of molecular biology techniques used in gene mapping, MAS, transformation and cloning in plants.

Emoluments: 12,000/- (Pre-revised)+ HRA per month

Age:The upper age limit is 30 years for men and 35 years for women on the date of interview (relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBC as per GOI/ICAR norms)
