Qualifications

(a) for Junior Research  Fellow

Essential: (1) 1st class M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biotechnology with B.Sc. in Microbiology &

(2) CSIR-UGC JRF clearance.

Desirable: working experience in microbial fermentation/ anaerobic microbiology and microbial metabolism.

(b) for Senior Research Fellow

Essential: (1) 1st class M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biotechnology with B.Sc. in Microbiology (2) 2 years research experience

Desirable: working experience in microbial fermentation/ anaerobic microbiology and microbial metabolism.

Monthly stipend

JRF-Rs.16000/- + HRA, SRF-Rs.18000/- + HRA

Age limit

JRF-28 years & SRF-30 years, relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/female candidates

Last date for submission of prescribed application - 25.07.2011

In case of non-availability of qualified SRF, candidates having B.Sc. & M.Sc. (as above) with clearance of CSIR-UGC JRF may be considered for Junior Research Fellowship on monthly stipend of Rs.16000/- (fixed) + HRA OR candidates without clearance of CSIR-UGC JRF as Research Student on a monthly stipend of Rs.11000/- (fixed). Short listed candidates should attend the walk-in-interview on the date and time mentioned above. No T.A. will be admissible for attending the walk-in-interview.

The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for walk-in-interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
