Malaria Vaccine Development Program (MVDP)
Program Officer: Process Development
The Malaria Vaccine Development Program (MVDP) is a registered society under the Indian Societies registration Act. The stake holders in this society are Department of Biotechnology (under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India); International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), Delhi and Malaria Vaccine Initiative (MVI), PATH. The primary objective of MVDP is to perform early translational research for further development of malaria vaccine candidates identified by academic institutes and malaria vaccine scientific groups. The goal is to advance the development of safe, affordable & efficacious vaccines against P. (a/ciparum and P. vivax malaria.
MVDP seeks a Program Officer, Process Development:
Plan and co-ordinate product development path activities of various malaria vaccine candidates along with Manager, Process Development.
Assist in process development activities at different institutes/organizations
Creation of quality documents and reports, and assist in transfer of technology for production of recombinant malaria vaccine candidates to contract manufacturer.
Co-ordinate submissions and interactions with local agencies during product and clinical
development.
Coordinate and assist in pre-clinical studies
Coordinate with all partners and collaborators for timely project delivery.
Minimum eligibility criteria:
~ Involved in product development including fermentation, purification and formulation of recombinants, technology transfer leading to cGMP production of recombinant vaccines or biological.
~Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary academic and industrial environments.
~ Demonstrated time management skills; ability to plan and deliver project results
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Candidate must have a Ph.D. or M.Tech / M.Sc. with 4-5 years experience in range of activities including process development, manufacturing, assay development, documentation for regulatory approvals and technology transfer of production methods for cGMP manufacturing.
