RECRUITMENT OF PROJECT FELLOW IN DST-PURSE PRQJECT

Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt of India has identified University of Mumbai as one of the only 11 Universities within India to implement its Programmes on MPromotion of University Research for Scientific Excellence (PURSE).

One of the research components of this Programme is being implemented by University Department of Life Sciences, University of Mumbai. Professor Dr. Sanjay Deshmukh is coordinating this Component that deals with Molecular and Phytochemical analysis of some medicinally important plants from Western Ghats of Maharashtra.

The applications are invited from eligible candidates for recruiting ONE Project Fellow to work under the said Research Project for a period of 3 years under the DST-PURSE Programme.

The Candidates appointed will work with the salary of Rs 10,000/- per month as per the DST Rules

The applications should have M.Sc. Degree with minimum of 55% marks (5% relaxation for reserved category candidates recognized by UGC are entitled to apply

1 Project Fellow: Should have work experience in the area of Biotechnology, Molecular Genetics with considerable knowledge of taxonomy of plants.

The Candidates will have to bear their own TA/DA expenditure.
