project Exploring sequence and structural patterns of the catalytic b/a loops in TIM Barrel Proteins: Implications for Protein Engineering ” sponsored by University Grants Commission (UGC) , New Delhi, under the supervision of Dr. Ramakrishna Vadrevu, Biological Sciences Department, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad Campus.
Fellowship : Rs.8,000/-p.m
Duration : 3 Years
Qualification : M.Sc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, with First
Class (60%).
Candidates with Physics or Chemistry as one of the optional subjects in Bachelors degree are highly desirable. Experience/exposure to protein modeling and molecular dynamics software such as GROMACS will be a plus.
Selected candidate will be allowed to register for Ph.D programme of BITS, Pilani, as per institute procedure and norms.
Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates having interest in the broad research area of protein modeling/protein folding, on a plain paper giving detailed information about their educational qualifications, research experience and published research papers on or before Sep 1st 2011.
