Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
DIT sponsored project entitled “DNA Barcoding (DNAB) based biodiversity inventory in Zingibereceae of Northeast India” at the Department of Biotechnology, IIT Guwahati.
The appointment will be on contract basis for one (1) year and may be extended based on performance.
Qualification and Experience: MSc/ BTech/ BE in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/related fields in life sciences or equivalent, if applying for JRF & additional two years of research experience if applying for SRF.
Candidates should have obtained 60% in qualifying degree examination. The two years research experience will be relaxed in case of candidates having M.Phil/ M.Tech. in related fields.
Applicants having hands-on experience in Plant Genomics will be preferred.
Pay:
JRF: Rs.12,000 p.m (Consolidated). In addition HRA & Medical Facilities as per institute rules.
SRF: Rs.14,000 p.m (Consolidated). In addition HRA & Medical Facilities as per institute rules.
