Winter School on Clinical Molecular Immunology
11-24th October 2011
About the Winter School This winter school is aimed at exposing chosen young researchers with a thirst, working in various institutions on molecular and clinical immunology, so as to build their confidence in advanced clinical diagnostics, host immunogenetics and prophylaxis. The diagnostic tools and immunological techniques followed for long pertaining to the host immunogenetics have passed through series of need based evolution leading towards a ncar-perfection and thus old techniques have become almost obsolute which necessitate such training program.
Advances in clinical diagnostic testing have been made since the introduction of monoclonal antibody and development of PCR which enhances tile clinical diagnosis. Of late as the nucleic acid based investigation has taken the centre stage of many core analyses in the field of immunology, it has become necessary for the researchers to familiarize themselves with the relevant procedures.
Investigative protocols on human samples need perfection and tile results require high resolution as the inferences drawn out of such analyses from tile strong basis of the diagnosis and course of treatment. Hence this programme assumes importance.
It is hoped that the fortnight programme will enrich the participants with adequate expertise on sampling, processing and instrumentation procedures penaining to the subject.
