“Preparing for climate change: Improving sorghum adaptation to postflowering drought tolerance” funded under Competitive grant component of NICRA (National Initiative on Climate Resilient Agriculture) project, ICAR.
Essential qualification: Masters Degree in Plant Physiology/Crop Physiology/Botany/Agronomy/ Soil Science /Biochemistry/Plant Breeding/Plant Science.
Desirable qualifications: Experience in handling field and controlled conditions experiments, managing and collecting required data sets in multilocational trials with the assistance of local Scientists. Hands on experience in using latest instruments used in Physiological research. Well versed with computer applications and statistics packages.
Rs. 16,000 per month + 30% HRA
The above position is purely temporary and on co-terminus basis for the period of the project ending on 31st March, 2014. The candidates shall submit the application at the time of interview in the proforma enclosed along with a passport size photograph, attested copies of requisite marksheets, certificates and supporting documents. They have to produce all the original certificates at the time of interview for verification. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Decision of the Director, DSR is final and binding in all respects.
